It’s Good to Be Back

August 4, 2009

And with internet access too. Refusing to look at Google Reader right now and trying not to freak out that I’ve become such an inconsistent blogger.

Here’s the short recap:
**Enjoyed my workshop on teaching, despite it being 9-4 including a Saturday. I mentioned on Twitter, so I might as well say here, that I’m working on my teacher certification.
**Loved the time I got to spend with my sister!
**Met a blogging friend in person for the very first time: the lovely Amanda from Zen Leaf. Ended up talking for over four hours!
**Visited Anthropologie and all of the other stores that I can’t go to in this retail wasteland (to be fair, if I drove up to Denver I’d be fine).
**Went on several dates. I’m apparently much more attractive to Texans than Coloradans.
**In between all of this, managed to get a few books read as well!

I’ll be getting back into the swing of blogging over the next few days, and I can’t wait to catch up with what everyone’s been up to! I’m sorry there are so many comments I haven’t replied to; I’ll get to work on that as well. And happy August everyone, lol.

Good to have you back!! Sounds like you had a great time. Very cool that you are working on your teaching certification!! I’m starting back to school this semester to do the same thing! Ack. I can’t believe classes start in like 3 weeks. It’s been a while since I’ve been in school, so I’m a bit terrified!

Hey you’re back. I was wondering what you were up too. Looks like you’ve been busy, lots of dates huh? Not bad at all :)
Happy August to you too :)

  3. August 4, 2009 5:02 am

Yay! I’m so glad you’re back, too. I hope we get to hear more about everything on your list soon. Especially the dates and the shopping and the books and your sister and friend and… well everything!

  4. August 4, 2009 5:03 am

    Yippee! Eva is back! :)

Statistically speaking, Texas has more men than many states. Men seem to need lots of room to drive their big trucks and Texas has that. Perhaps you can capture a Texan and take him back to Colorado and civilize him. ;->

Welcome back!! I, too, am just getting back into the swing of blogging. It is something I miss, but at the same time I feel overwhelmed with how many posts I need to do to be caught up.

Impossible to put into words how happy I am that you’re back!!!!!! Seriously, my grin is waaaaay bigger than this :D

(If I was you, I think I’d just hit that “mark all as read” button, and get a fresh start.)

  9. August 4, 2009 6:02 am

Yeay! Welcome back, we missed you. Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation.

  10. August 4, 2009 6:05 am

I’d be hitting the ‘mark all as read’ button too.

Lots of dates :) I might have to skip over to Texas not been on a date in ages, men in Chemlsford are pants. But dating here is pretty different from in the States if tv and movies are to be believed. Most me here think you’ll jump into bed with them that first night!

Teaching :) Another one captured in the net lol its great, but can be pretty stressful and knackering

  11. August 4, 2009 6:12 am

Hey…welcome back! Looking forward to stories about your vacation, and all the reviews too :)

  12. August 4, 2009 6:19 am

It was great to meet you, and I’m still startled that we managed to talk that long and not realize what time it was! I’m glad you had fun, and I”m with everyone else – hit “mark all as read” and start over from there. No one’ll fault you for that. :) Welcome back.

  13. August 4, 2009 6:19 am

That all sounds great. Nice to see you back and blogging!

  14. August 4, 2009 6:27 am

Lots of dates huh Eva? You go girl *grin*

Hope you enjoyed the break and am glad to hear that you’ll be joining us teachers. (I think my mom was a bit disappointed when I ultimately chose this profession, she expected great things from me. LOL. ‘Course I feel its about the greatest thing I could be doing!)

And in agreement with everyone else – HIT READ ALL.

Welcome back! Sounds like you had a really good time. I hope ‘catching up’ is relaxing for you and not stressful.

Don’t you just love Anthropologie? They have the best catalogs and we have a retail store here in Kansas City that is fabulous to visit. I love their clothes (not for me, of course!) and the style with which they present merchandise in the stores and catalogs.

  26. August 4, 2009 11:23 am

Glad you’re back! I love Anthropologie as well. Like you, I have to schedule it in when I travel since we don’t have a store near by. However, it’s probably better for my pocketbook that we don’t have a store near by. :)
