Sticky Post

Posted by: Eva on: April 1, 2008

Just to remind everyone that you have until Sunday, April 6th to enter my BAFAB contest. Remember, in addition to the blogger w/ the most right answers winning the Calvino, there will be a random drawing for another book and/or bookmooch point (there might even be multiple winners!). To get one entry, comment on the BAFAB post. To get two entries, link to the BAFAB post at your blog. To get three entries, go enter C.B. James’ first giveaway ever and/or link to it on your blog (I promised him giveaways are fun, and now people haven’t been entering, and I’m not going to be caught as a liar!).

More BAFAB giveaways that I didn’t list in my original post: Tanabata’s offering three Japanese selections, Literary Feline has two books up for grabs, and Park Avenue Princess is planning on changing her blog into a more bookish one, and to kick things off she’s offering the winner any book s/he wants. ETA: more giveaways! Trish is offering Word Freak or any book under $25 at Amazon, Natasha of Maw Books Blog is offering four winners picks from a big bookshelf to celebrate the opening of her new blog Book Bloggers Book Reviews, a ‘directory’ of reviews by title from around the blogosphere. Andi is has Between the Tides up for grabs, Juxtabook offers the winner two choices, Valentina’s Bookroom has three books up for grabs, Ravenous Reader’s giving away Jackfish, The Vanishing Vilage, Verbatim will buy the winner any paperback on Amazon; but you have to be participating in BAFAB as well to enter, carp(e) libris has a copy of Chronicle of San Gabriel up for grabs, Write from Karen’s offering one winner any book of $15 or less, and Deblog has a really neat contest going on for her second BAFAB giveway of the week. If you’re doing a BAFAB giveaway, and I haven’t already linked to you, just comment here and I’ll fix that! :)

Pick me, pick me. I have a giveaway, too. http://www.andilit.com/?p=95 And I did visit C.B. James’ page. What a great giveaway he has.

Thanks, Eva.

I’ll have some answers for you by the 6th. And I’ll check out Andi’s giveaway.

Thank you Eva! You are definitely in twice!!

Your new friend,
Amy

Thank you for the link, Eva! I posted a link to your contest too.

Andi, I thought I listed you in my original post! But I’ll add you-never fear. :)

CB James, no problem! Of course, I have materially diminished my own chances of winning, but it’s better than makign myself a liar! ;)

Amy, thanks-always nice to make new friends!

Literary Feline, no problem-thanks for linking to me. :D

I’ve linked my your post to my blog for the contest, and CB James, and some others. http://susanflynn.blogspot.com/2008/04/quiet-wednesday.html
I think all these giveaways are fun, and even more – we get to share books. :-)

Susan, great! I agree-sharing books is very cool.

I’m too late but just wanted to drop by and say that your blog looks great. Keep up the good work, will add you to my blog roll today:)

Changing My Mind by Zadie Smith
These essays are a bunch of fun! I've read the first four, and I absolutely loved the ones on Their Eyes Were Watching God and Middlemarch. Smith does make me deeply happy that I never took literary theory though.
The Farming of Bones by Edwdige Danticat
I'm only 50 pages in, and I'm already considering Danticat a new favourite author. ;)
