Gone Reading

July 3, 2011

My arms are quite unhappy with me, probably because I’ve spent too much time playing on LibraryThing this past week. ;) So I’m switching physical books for their Nook cousins. And rather than blogging, I’ll be spending lots of time curled up with a pot of tea at my side, Thistle in my lap, and a wonderful book in front of me.

I’ve enough posts in the drafts folder to publish one for every day this week, but I won’t be replying to any comments or e-mails or leaving comments on others’ blogs or getting on Twitter until my body gives me the go ahead. Hope to see you all soon! And one last photograph: yesterday, my parents passed down to me a quilt my great grandmother Eva made for their wedding. I’m thrilled, as you might imagine!

Best wishes to everyone’s reading! I’m in the middle of Tom Jones (loving it), have just begun The Winter Sea (ditto), and have an excess of e-nonfiction to choose from until my arms are able to manage physical books open again. Giving thanks for technology right about now. ;)

What a beautiful quilt! I have one from my grandparents that’s been in the family for years, but I’m too afraid to use it on my bed. (I have a bad habit of leaving open highlighters on my bed… Whoops!)

Get yourself to Home Depot, and buy a gallon or two of Behr’s Indian Ocean. It’s like living in the Caribbean! (Although my white shutters probably are responsible for that feel, lol.)

Sorry to hear that your arms are bothering you but I do think that it sounds lovely to just spend time reading. And I think that I would substitute coffee for the tea but other than that… :) Hope we hear from you soon!

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and quilt compliments! :D

Thank you for commenting! For a long while, my health precluded me replying to everyone. Yet I missed the conversation, so I'm now making an effort to reply again. It might take a few days though, and there will be times when I simply can't. Regardless, I always read and value what you say.
