Quick Post on Twitter
Brief interruption of normal blogging to tell everyone that I just made my Twitter account (BiblioEva) protected (it creeps me out when random people w/ odd user names retweet my stuff), so if you’d like to follow me, it’ll say ‘pending’ and wait until I approve you. Of course, I’ll approve any book bloggers! :)
I also went through all my followers, which I hadn’t done in a really long time. I decided to remove anyone who a) had never tweeted me and b) whose name/icon I didn’t recognise from comments on my blog/me visiting their blogs. It just would have taken too long to figure out who was a book blogger and who wasn’t. So I’m sure I accidentally removed book bloggers (in fact, I got too into the groove & know that I deleted users I didn’t mean to because my hands move faster than my brain), and I very much apologise for that. It wasn’t a personal thing at all, and I hope that I didn’t step on anyone’s toes. So if you find that I’ve dropped of your radar, and you want me back on it, you’ll have to follow me again. The good news is, if you’d like to follow me, I’ll know who you are and that you’re on Twitter, so I’ll be able to follow you too!
While I’m here, if there are any new book bloggers that read my blog and don’t comment, feel free to consider this your invitation to de-lurk. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with lurking, but I visit the blogs of everyone who leaves a comment here, so if you’d like me to visit yours, that’s the surefire way to do it. :) (Just make sure you fill in the URL box.) I’ve never used Twitter – I’m too long-winded and I’m no good at short snappy comments! but I can understand the creepy factor. I recently had a creepy message from someone on Goodreads who’s going ’round befriending all the “pretty” women and keeps talking about “waiting” – do I put it down to poor English? If he’s really a visiting academic in California from the Middle East, I can’t help thinking he knows exactly what he’s doing!

Twitter regularly drives me crazy with the character limit…as my blog shows, I’m not exactly succinct myself. hehe I just end up doing LOTS of tweets!
You’re adorable as usual. I have a love-hate relationship with Twitter and have often considered just limiting it to fellow book-bloggers and friends. Of which, of course, you would be one!

I have been meaning to give twitter a try. If I’m too busy to start up an account, I don’t know if I’ll have time to keep up with it, LOL! When I do, I’ll let you know — I might even have questions to ask because I don’t want random people following me; I’d want it to be a book blogger focus.

By the way, I just finished Face, a poetry collection by Sherman Alexie last night, and I know he’s one of your favorite authors so I’d be interested to know your thoughts if you’ve seen the book. I just reviewed it and I’d recommend it, but with a few reservations. (Accidental pun, oops.)

My name is Christa although on my blog I am just “she” for now because we are keeping it anonymous for the most part and my book/pop culture blog is called Meet Cute named after a phrase I learned about in the movie “The Holiday”. It’s not just my blog either..I share it with my boyfriend so that we can give a male/female perspective on things. Also I don’t read some of the books he reads and vice versa! I am an old time blogger but this blog is fairly new and I’m just getting it out there which I know that you have visited it before because of your comments and I thank you!

I totally agree with you about Twitter. I have to ‘clean’ up my Twitter account once a month, purging of little porn bots and other assorted nasties. I also purge it of mindless Tweeters who want to tell me that they’re spreading peanut butter on toast, and then 30 seconds later, stirring their coffee.
One the subject of new book blogs, I’ve been blogging on books for about 2 months (although blogging on anthropology, yoga and Central Australia for about 4 years on various platforms.
I’m going to be running some givaways promoting Central Austrlian authors in May (open to international readers) and I would also like to get together an Australian book bloggers convention next year (yes, as Australia is the highest consumer of books per capita in the world along with Iceland, there are lots of Aussie book bloggers). So any suggestions, help or well any advice at all would be great!

I know that there are many of you Aussie book bloggers! I’m more into the book bit of book blogging than the blogging bit, so I’m afraid I don’t have any advice for conventions or giveaways! There are other bloggers who focus on that, but I’m always rather oblivious. lol
I don’t think you deleted me by mistake (or on purpose LOL :)))) . It would be creepy to have random people retweet your tweets.
