DeerThis post’s picture is of the deer that came to visit last hour. :D Sorry for the poor quality-the sun’s crazy bright and I’m borrowing my mom’s camera, so I don’t know anything about its features. I left it full (huge) size so you can see the deer better-click on the pic for that view. Can you believe the read-a-thon is a quarter of the way done?! I can’t! I think it’s time for a change of scenery, so I’m going to read outside for bit. I’m loving Reservation Blues still, and should finish it up in the next hour! The book revolves around a band several Indians form, and each chapter starts off with the lyrics to one of their songs-since Alexie is a poet as well, these songs are beautiful and haunting.

In other news, I visited all of the readers assigned to my cheerleading team twice! I love blog hopping! Thanks to everyone who has left comments on my posts; I’d rather spend my internet time cheering than answering my own comments, but I read them all and really appreciate them. :D

Beth Fish Reads has us talking about our read-a-thon snacks! I already discussed my chex mix and breakfast, but I also have: popcorn, pumpkin brownies, dark chocolate, three kinds of salad, roasted butternut squash risotto, and black bean soup waiting for me for later. ;) I’m sure you’ll be seeing pictures of all of these as I eat them! As far as drinks go, I have tea, hot chocolate, and diet pepsi lined up, although right now I’m just chugging water (I’ve had 5 glasses!) to ward off the caffeine and junk food ickies, lol. So now you know what’s in my pantry!

I did not plan well for snacks today or meals for myself. I have frozen thingys, but got distracted yesterday when I was going to take of it. Happy Reading.

You have fantastic snacks and meals! I planned better for the snacking than the actual meals. I think I should do more advance planning next time! It’s already dark out here, but maybe I can read outside tomorrow morning …

Mmm, pumpkin brownies? I hope you post the recipe for those at some point. They sound great!

Thank you for commenting! For a long while, my health precluded me replying to everyone. Yet I missed the conversation, so I'm now making an effort to reply again. It might take a few days though, and there will be times when I simply can't. Regardless, I always read and value what you say.
