I’ve actually read most of the books in your library loot. I’m amazed! Like Water for Chocolate is a great book. I read it years ago in high school because it was required reading and loved it. You’re the second blogger to mention it this week. Maybe it’s time for a re-read.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is lovely. I had to read it last year for school. Starting to realize most of your library loot was required reading for me! Happy reading.

I loved Witch of Blackbird Pond when I read it in school. I really she reread it now as an adult.

The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie is just wonderful. I would recommend that to everyone and cannot wait for the next in the series.

I also must, must read The Elegance of the Hedgehog.

I’m interested in The Elegance of the Hedgehog and The Sweetness At The Bottom Of The Pie. I’m curious to see what you’ll say about Witch of Blackbird Pond…I didn’t read it until I was an adult, and I didn’t like it too much. I absolutely loved Like Water For Chocolate — both book and movie.

Yay, Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie!!!

I checked out an audio version of that very same translation of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and it was fantastic. Although I’m sure it is great to read, it is the kind of thing that is so powerful when spoken by someone who can flow with it. If you have an opportunity to experience it on audio, please do. You’ll love it.

The Witch of Blackbird Pond is one of my favorite reads from childhood. My book club read it a few years ago but I missed the meeting and didn’t get around to reading it. It is on my shelves ready for a reread. Enjoy all the books! Happy Thanksgiving!

Once again a great loot, Eva! I started reading The Elegance of the Hedgehog before my break from blogging. I liked it a lot, but did not have much time for reading during my break. Now I kind of want to read ALL my books at the same time, so, I’m still half way through that book!
Also, I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts on The Vintner’s Luck. I’ve seen the book in a bookstore.
