Road Trip!!!

Posted by: Eva on: July 11, 2009

I’m off to San Antonio for an indeterminate length of time (regular readers know that my sister lives there :D ); the earliest I’ll be back is July 22nd, but since I’m driving I might stay until my future brother-in-law kicks me out. ;)

I’m not sure what my computer/internet access will be like, or how much time I’ll have to blog/read other blogs, so I might disappear for awhile. In the meantime, here are the audiobooks I found at the library today to keep me company on the drive:

Have a great time! I love Texas. I just returned, and let me tell you the 12 hour drive was LONG! Especially with a 1 year old. I am sure the books will keep you occupied though! Have fun and be safe!

Be safe and have a lot of fun. Enjoy your books!

Have a fantastic and safe trip! Looks like you’ve got some great entertainment for the drive.

Forgot to mention that I’ve finally made it to Kashgar (Shadow of the Silk Road)!

Also, if you have time before you go, you might be interested in a book giveaway that I’ve just announced.

Have a great trip. We’ll miss you!!!

Enjoy! I love Bill Bryson too. If you ever get a chance, read his book about the Appalachain Trail! Have a great trip!

Have fun in San Antonio! You’ll have to go scope out some bookstores. I haven’t been to S.A. in such a long time but given that it’s only an hour or so away from me I really should visit again.

Have a great time and I hope that temp isn’t over 100 while you’re there!!

Have a good trip, enjoy your time with your sister, and enjoy the audiobooks you’re going to listen to!

Have a great trip!

Regarding audiobooks, I really dislike it when the author does it. In fact, I avoid those books! There are always exceptions and I look for highly recommended audiobooks, but I’ve found that sometimes the authors are just horrible!!

Have a great trip, Eva! I hope you do have internet access so you can at least say hi on Twitter from time to time. I’ve gotten used to having you there, which just means I’ll miss you more!

Have a great trip and enjoy yourself!

Have fun… if you happen to pass through Wichita, KS at all (we’re only 8 hours north!), let me know… I’d love to say hi. :)

Have a great trip, Eva!

Have ever so much fun on your road trip! And those audiobooks sure sound nice. I would LOVE to listen to Stardust, Gaiman has the best reading voice ever.

Have a great time, Eva, and enjoy all your audiobooks. I loved Doomsday Book.

Have a wonderful trip!

Have fun! I just listened to The Wordy Shipmates by Sarah Vowell and Undress Me In the Temple of Heaven by Susan Jane Gilman on audiobook while driving, and they were great. I’m going to look for the Bryson book, I think that sounds fun to listen to.

Have fun Eva. If you do get internet access, I’m from San Antonio, too! It’s really frickin’ hot down here!! I just got back from Chicago where it was so beautiful, so I’m melting right now. I hope you find a lot of good things to do. :)

Have a nice trip, those good books will sue keep you company

San Antonio is my favorite big city. Riverwalk that place. Scope out the good bookstores.

I have Thunderbolt Kid on my to read pile, but now that I know that it is out on audio I’m going to have to check it out from the library!

I hope you are having an absolutely wonderful time! Come back safe and sound.

Hope oyu’re having a great time!!!

Have fun! (Although you may be back by now)

I love Bill Bryson but couldn’t get through Thunderbolt Kid so I’ll be curious to know what you think of that one.

Stardust is beautiful, Gaiman is a God :)
(*waves* – hello from a random newbie blogger!)

What could be better than a Bronte on a trip!! Sounds like a very well-planned time. I’m wondering about Gaiman….have his newest book, which I really haven’t started. I’ll be stopping by more often!
Your Bookish Dame

hope you had a great trip. i loved The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid. (i could really relate to Bryson’s memoir).
