Random List Meme

Posted by: Eva on: December 16, 2008

I saw this over at Darcie’s and Stephanie’s. It’s a really random list; not really aspirational, or well-rounded, or anything like that. I think that’s what makes it so much fun! ;)

The things I have done are in BOLD!
1. Started my own blog
2. Slept under the stars
3. Played in a band (It was band in high school…assuming that counts?)
4. Visited Hawaii
5. Watched a meteor shower
6. Given more than I can afford to charity
7. Been to Disneyland/world (Disneyworld and Euro Disney)
8. Climbed a mountain (I’ve hiked up mountains, but I imagine by climb they mean that intense, Sherpa trekking thing)
9. Held a praying mantis
10. Sung a solo (…unless the shower counts)
11. Bungee jumped
12. Visited Paris
13. Watched lightening at sea (Who goes to sea anymore?!)
14. Taught myself an art from scratch (Crocheting and cooking are arts, right? And now I’m working on sewing and baking…)
15. Adopted a child
16. Had food poisoning (How about we don’t repeat that experience?)
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty
18. Grown my own vegetables (Yay for an awesome mom who helped us have a veggie garden when we were little!)
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France
20. Slept on an overnight train (The St. Petersburg-Moscow one)
21. Had a pillow fight
22. Hitchhiked (Well, when I was in Russia, my friends and I would signal and random Russians would pull over, and we would pay them to drive us home…sort of unofficial taxis…is that hitchhiking?)
23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill
24. Built a snow fort
25. Held a lamb (We went an awesome three-day ‘lambing’ trip to Wales when I was 13)
26. Gone skinny dipping (I want to!)
27. Run a Marathon
28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice (I was in Venice, but the family decided a gondola cost too much)
29. Seen a total eclipse (When was that, 98 or 99? We happened to be in Germany, one of the places you could see the whole thing)
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset (Sunrises are my favourites of the two, but it’s a close call)
31. Hit a home run
32. Been on a cruise (down the Nile)
33. Seen Niagara Falls in person (My mom’s family is from outside Buffalo, NY…every family vacation, we’d pop on over)
34. Visited the birthplace of my ancestors (Not intentionally…but I’ve been to England, Scotland, and France, so the only one I’m missing in Poland)

60. Served at a soup kitchen
61. Sold Girl Scout Cookies
62. Gone whale watching
63. Got flowers for no reason

65. Gone sky diving (I want to so badly!)

Randomness is fun :) I like your added commentary :)

I loved seeing your answers!! : )

Wow, you’ve been to a lot of places! I stole it!

That is very impressive; I have only done 42.

wow- I’m impressed!

I’ve also been to Egypt for the tourist sites and I also wonder if that “counts” as visiting Africa….

These randomness memes are most fun. Especially for me nozy parker. :)

I’ll snag this one and post during the weekend, which is everyday now!

Sarah, thanks!

Darcie, thanks for letting me steal it. ;)

Sarah, I grew up as a military brat-that’s how I’ve been to so many places. :D

Beastmomma, thanks!

J., thanks!

Rebecca, you know, I didn’t used to think it did. But then in one of my French classes, the entire class and the professor said it did, so now I count it. ;)

Matt, awesome-looking forward to seeing what you’ve done@

You’ve done a LOT for such a young chick! Go you! I just did this meme, myself.

Nancy, I was lucky w/ all the travelling my family did growing up! :)
