Housekeeping!

I’ve been on an organising spree lately, so I have some new blogg-y things. First, off I’ve created a directory of all my book and short story reviews. You can view them alphabetically by author or by title, and there’s a link to it on the right. It turns out I’ve done 15 short story reviews (I only linked to ones where I got detailed about about them) and 214 book reviews (that includes my six-word ones, hehe)!
Then, I’ve updated my blog roll: I had quite a few blogs that have been in my reader forever, but I wasn’t linked to. Sorry about that-it’s fixed now. 
Please let me know if I’ve misspelled/mistyped your blog name, though.
Finally, I’ve joined Shelfari. You can see all the books I own (so far, at least, that’s all I’m going to use it for), and if you’re on Shelfari too we can be friends! I’m on there as “Eva”: I’m not sure how you go about making friends, but my link uses “astripedarmchair” if that helps. I’ve gotten all my books entered, and changed them to the right book cover when it was the option (most of the time), but I haven’t added tags to all of them yet. I figure I’ll do that as the mood strikes me (i.e.: when I’m watching TV or a movie and remember).

Love your directory! When I did mine I completely forgot to include short stories. Also, I love the clickable alphabet at the top. I just might have to add that to mine.

Yay for new shelfari buds!!! I’m in something of an organizational frenzy, too. My office at school really needs some work.

Wow, great directory. Your efficiency is awe inspiring… I have to admit, I have never been and will likely never be in the midst of an organizational frenzy! (much to my husband’s chagrin…)

Melanie, thanks! See, my bouts of organisation come in between bouts of messiness, so my room isn’t nearly as organised as my blog. 
Kim, thanks! It probably took me around an hour and a half or two hours (I was watching Silence of the Lambs). I already had links to all of my reviews on my “Books Read” pages, and I used excel. I had a column for author’s last name, first name, book title, and the webpage address. Oh, and a column marked if it was a short story so I could seperate them out! Then, I could easily at columns for things like commas, colons, and html code and do data sorts. So it went pretty smoothly! I’ll e-mail you the excel spreadsheet if you want, if the explanation didn’t make sense.

Wow that’s good that you did all that. This week I did the exact same thing. Took a while. For some reason, every time I clean my stuff it takes a lot out of me lol.
