A Striped Armchair

An Open Post-Script

Posted by: Eva on: April 4, 2008

Dear Bloggers,

I’m so, so sorry that I have become a book pusher as well.  I wrote that post, because I’d spent so much time at the B&N site that I didn’t have time to write a review post, lol.  I shall be writing a review post later today, though.  For the curious, I spent a long time deciding which fifteen books I’d spend my $50 worth of Easter money on (I’m not going to tell you, for fear of pushing more books) and then suddenly got a reality check.  I remembered why I originally made my resolution-not to torture myself, but because I have a library, and a bunch of great books on my shelves waiting to be read.  So, I decided not to buy any books.  Weird, huh?  I hope no one bangs on my door in the middle of the night asking for my book lover card back.  I’ll see you later, in Communist China. ;)

Wow! You have tremendous will power.

Oh, good for you. I’m so proud of you! Now, if only I could learn to be so disciplined…

Hi Eva you’re a winner! Your name was drawn for The Drowning Tree!
Please send me an e-mail at gilroybellataoldotcom to give me your shipping info and I’ll get it out to you right away!
Jaimie

And see! you keep WINNING books! :)

You are twice a winner – come and see!

You have more discipline than I do regarding these things! If I was given $50 to spend in any bookstore, I would drive myself nuts.

Chris, I’m not sure it’s will power. But I’ll pretend it was! :D

Emily, awww-thanks! I have a feeling when I have a career, so money isn’t quite so scarce, my discipline might fly out the window!

Jamie, yay! I’m so excited. :D

Care, lol-that’s very true. Good thing I’m giving some away to balance out the karma!

Nymeth, awesome!!

Katherine, well, I figured there are other things I could spend the $50 on. Like, um, clothes or skin care. So it’s not exactly a higher motive, lol. And I’m not sure if this is your first time commenting here, but if it is, welcome!
