I intended to write up a funny, snarky review of Madeleine Albright’s newest book. But I opened up The Translator a couple of hours ago (it’s a non-fiction memoir of a man from Darfur who works as an interpreter for aid agencies and reporters), and suddenly nothing much seems to matter. And that’s about where I’ll leave it today.
The Translator is on my wish list…one I feel compelled to read, and yet apprehensive all at the same time. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it.
I have heard so much about The Translator – I look forward to hearing your reflections. How are you finding Wild Swans ?

Well it must be a pretty incredible book. What a great experience it is to be so caught up in a book that you feel like a slightly different person afterwards!
Not too many books have that power. I’ll look forward to your review after you’ve had a chance to think it over and post your thoughts!
I read an ARC of THE TRANSLATOR a few months ago and was totally blown away! I couldn’t even really talk about it because I was just trying to take it all in!
I’m glad you’re liking it. It was interesting to read it back-to-back with the Book Thief..2 different genocides. Not much has changed in this world.

But…but I love snarky reviews!
