Dew, I’ll definitely add MotherTalk to the post. Might just copy and paste your comments, lol. I know that someone would have to be patient to win books-I guess my point was just to mention that giveaways are pretty common! But I will definitely add a qualifier if you want one.

Harvee Lau, ohhh-that’s a tough call for me. Is it just Hershey’s milk chocolate, or is it really good dark chocolate? I’m a bit of a chocolate fiend!

I love curledup, too, and think their best feature is the hundreds of books you can choose from! Another option, if someone is a mother, is MotherTalk. I don’t know how easy/hard it is to get in with them, but they send a free book AND an amazon gift certificate once the review is posted. I get a few books a month through them, and at least $40 per month to spend at Amazon. One month I had $120 Amazon bucks from them! I also got that phone I gave away in the readathon through them. I really love them the best, after Bookmooch. I’ve given 122 through them and received 155; you get three points when you send overseas, which is how I’ve managed to get 33 more books than I’ve sent!

HarperCollins has only ever given me one book through their First Look program, and I don’t even get their monthly emails half the time. I don’t know if my experience is typical, but it’s not worth the bother for me, compared to the three mentioned in my previous paragraph, so I stopped trying.

Thanks for mentioning my giveaways, but since I draw names and sometimes read library books, a person would have to be really patient if they were trying to win many books from me!

I’m a member of paperbackswap and LOVE it. Signing up as a boxer really saves shipping money. I do the HarperCollins and Library thing but haven’t won a book yet. Just applied for three of your suggestions, thanks for the great blog post (I didn’t know about them yet)
